Fan Band - Revisited. Music for two or more landscape paintings (in the wine cellar), 2019. North Fremantle, Australia.

Creating music for a particular geographical location. An iPhone photo of a sunrise over the river on the east wall and sunset over the ocean on the west wall. The fan blowing from the south-west, the bottlebrush branch strumming the guitar was found out the front of the space, and the wine cellar itself is directly underground from the studio where I’ve been working for the last few months.

Sound is created live, each oscillation of the fan pulls a roll of tape over the keys on the keyboard and pulls a wireless mouse across a digital keyboard on the laptop.

The laptops and iPhone streams are live, the cameras on selfie-mode, their struggle to focus creates feedback; ongoing, glitching, multi-coloured lights.
